Περίληψη:	Global governance, i.e. political cooperation among transnational entities, was until recently the prerogative of States. States formed specific rules (international law) to regulate it and allocated functions to institutions they control (International Organisations) to put those rules to work. Nevertheless, increasingly nowadays, International Organisations join forces with for-profit private entities and civil society to carry out these functions. The rise of this new form of governance, that is named here as International Public-Private Partnerships (IPPPs), has caught lawyers by surprise as it defies categorisation under traditional legal frameworks. The absence of a concomitant regulatory framework opens up an unexplored research agenda. This contribution aims to fill this gap, help interested parties understand their legal rights and duties and spark a much needed academic discussion. By juxtaposing the practice of the European Union, the Food and Agriculture Organization and the United Nations in this respect, the article attempts to draw common inferences and understand whether an overarching accountability paradigm for such collaborative efforts can be extracted. La gouvernance mondiale, c’est-à-dire la coopération politique entre entités transnationales, était jusqu’à récemment la prérogative des Etats. Les Etats établissaient des règles spécifiques (droit international) pour la réglementer et attribuaient des fonctions aux institutions qu’ils contrôlent (or-ganisations internationales) pour mettre ces règles en pratique. Néanmoins, de plus en plus aujourd’hui, les organisations internationales s’associent à des entités privées à but lucratif et à la société civile pour exercer ces fonctions. L’émergence de cette nouvelle forme de gouvernance, que nous appellons ici Partenariats internationaux public-privé (PIPP), a pris les juristes par surprise, car elle défie toute catégorisation dans les cadres juridiques traditionnels. L’absence d’un cadre réglementaire concomitant ouvre la voie à un programme de recherche inexploré. Cette contribution vise à combler cette lacune, à aider les parties intéressées à comprendre leurs droits et devoirs légaux et à susciter le débat académique indispensable. En juxtaposant les pratiques à cet égard de l’Union européenne, de l’Organisation des Nations unies pour l’alimentation et l’agriculture et des Nations unies, l’article tente de tirer des conclusions communes et de comprendre s’il est possible d’extraire un paradigme de responsabilité globale pour ce genre d’efforts de collaboration.
