Περίληψη: | Family businesses have been the subject of research and policy making for several years. However, while the Greek business landscape is highly dependent on family businesses, with 80% of owners considering their business family-run, the endogenous factors that determine the performance and competitiveness of these businesses have little concern for academia and research community. The utilization of modern tools for evaluating the quality characteristics of human behavior of family business managers is essential to identify their impact on management performance. Therefore, the performance of these companies are the points where a significant research gap is identified, which leads to the central hypothesis: "If and to what extent emotional intelligence, Machiavellianism and economic opportunism, affect the administration and management and ultimately the performance of family businesses ". The methodological approach for a substantiated answer to the question consists in the adoption of modern tools for conducting primary research with questionnaires in a pan-Hellenic sample of family businesses, the creation of a database and their statistical-inductive analysis. |
