| Περίληψη: | Compact multiplication operators on operator algebras have been first investigated by Vala in 1964 and since then they have been studied by many authors. Semicrossed products form a class of operator algebras constructed from dynamical systems. We characterize the compact multiplication operators on semicrossed products in terms of the corresponding dynamical system. We also characterize the compact elements of this algebra and determine the ideal they generate. |
